The DGE team is responsible for developing the digital tools which enable our guests to place orders online and to participate in our customer loyalty programs. This application developer will primarily work on digital tools systems that support the e-commerce functions of the Chili's brand (i.e., Chilis.com). The system is comprised of cloud-hosted microservices, APIs, serverless functions, headless CMS, static site content generator, CDN, build & deploy pipelines, and a native mobile app.\n\nYour Key Job Functions\n\nDevelop both the back-end and front-end components of the e-commerce system using Typescript, Node.js, React, React Native, Builder.io, and related technologies.\nDevelop the build and deploy pipelines of the system using GitHub Enterprise workflows, actions, and related technologies.\nProficient in both front-end and back-end development. Work on the entire application stack independently or collaboratively with a team.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices and coding standards.\nPerform thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high-quality and bug-free software.\nKeep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, actively contributing innovative ideas to improve processes and software development practices.\nTroubleshoot and resolve application issues, providing support to dev leads and Product Owner.\nMember of a cross-functional Agile development team, actively participating in the various Scrum ceremonies.\nBe flexible to participate actively in an on-call rotation setting that monitors systems closely during high-volume business hours\n\nWhat You Bring to the Team\n\nBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related field.\n2+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Application Developer, or similar role, working on a large-scale e-commerce cloud-hosted system.\nDemonstrated proficiency with application performance monitoring tools, including but not limited to, Google Logs and New Relic\nExperience with building and implementation of cloud platforms like Google Cloud and AWS, and implementing cloud-native solutions, including but not limited to, Google Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Google Monitoring and Logging\nExperience creating components in a CMS for non-technical users to be able to maintain website content\nExperience running apps and services in containers, including but not limited to Google Kubernetes Engine Clusters\nExperience in building APIs and integrating them with third-party APIs.\nExperience developing web-based UIs using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.\nExperience using modern JavaScript frameworks, including but not limited to, TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Jest.\nExperience programming with Python.\nExperience working within a Nx workspace monorepo.\nExperience building APIs and static content with NextJS or a similar framework\nFamiliarity with utilizing version control systems, including but not limited to, Git\nFamiliarity with utilizing automated CI/CD pipeline tools including, but not limited to, GitHub Workflows and Jenkins\nSolid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, common design patterns, writing clean code, and refactoring.\nDemonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to be a \"self-starter\", flex, and adapt to new technologies\nStrong communication skills, including verbal and written\nDemonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-tiered organization\n\nWhy Brinker\n\nWe offer a competitive benefits package including medical/dental/vision, life insurance, paid vacation/holidays, and 401(k) with company match and generous dining discounts.
