The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Ensure that all Hanwha Philly Shipyard safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and metResponsible, in cooperation with other team members or independently, for alignments and final status of production-built sections and grand blocksAble to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentsMaintain quality standards and meet scheduled completion timesRecord and submit measurements timely and correctlyDaily feedback of task progress and quality resultsResponsible for readiness of all equipment required by the measurement team (calibration, records, etc.)Cooperation with preparation teams of new projects upon requestWork with team members and independently to complete taskSafety in all actions and tasking preventing injury to self and othersLearn and process the information flow according to defined rulesLearn and make reports of final productCreate and evaluate SA program and create reports of completed productsTrain less experienced team members in all the above areasPerform other related duties as required and assigned COMPETENCIESAdaptabilityOrganizingCommunication skills, both verbal and writtenWillingness and ability to function as a team member EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentExperience in Measurement field or Quality Control, or 5 years' experience in the shipbuilding fieldFamiliar with AVEVA systemHave good print reading skillsKnowledge of Theodolite, level and digital instrumentsGood shipbuilding background with good mathematical skillsSkilled in the utilization of advanced measuring equipment / tools Net2B/1200, Archer, Lap Top, etc. (transits, optical levels, etc.)Knowledge of steel structures and measurement WORK ENVIRONMENT Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions. *Hanwha Philly Shipyard is a TOBACCO FREE facility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A range of motion sufficient to perform general lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, climbing, working at heights, extended walking or standing, etc. is required.
