This position must pull and cut designated materials using a two-headed industrial saw per the customer's order. The employee must use care in selecting the appropriate color, length, and materials for the individual order.\n\nMajor Areas of Responsibility\nMajor areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:\nSafety-minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits.\nRecognizing the specifications and parts required to complete each door package as listed on individual customer orders.\nEnsuring that work instructions are followed precisely to successfully complete the door package.\nUnderstanding daily production goals and working at a pace that meets or exceeds those requirements.\nKnowing what each customer's order requires and recognizing when parts are missing or installed incorrectly.\nInspecting the door frame to ensure that it is free of defects and scratches.\nOther duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor, Team Lead, and Operations Manager.\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nThis position requires the following essential knowledge, skills, and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfill the role:\nThe ability to use basic mathematics including fractions for measuring, cutting, and calculating lengths and widths of materials.\nUnderstanding and using a two-headed saw to cut aluminum at the designated length as listed on the customer order.\nDetailed oriented using fine visual and manual skills.\nThe ability to use basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills.\nThe ability to work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time.\nThe ability to read and understand layouts, shop orders, and process control documents.\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nPositive attitude; self-motivated.\nReliable and well-disciplined; ability to work well with others and follow instructions.\nPhysical Demands\nWhile performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. This is a walking position for up to 10 hours per day on a concrete factory floor. Ability to lift 30 or more pounds both overhead and at waist level. The position requires continuous moderate or occasional heavy physical activity due to lifting 16’ to 21’ aluminum extrusions onto a rolling cart for up to 10 hours per day. The employee is required to walk, reach with arms and hands. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.\n\nWork Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Exposure to intermediate/loud noise is expected when working in the manufacturing environment.
