This position is primarily responsible for accurate and timely data entry, supporting credentialing activities, conducting outreach calls, maintaining confidential healthcare information, and responding to inquiries from providers and internal staff. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform accurate data entry from various documents, files, and data sources.\nSupport the department in achieving short- and long-term operational goals.\nConduct outreach calls as needed to obtain or verify information for data entry.\nAssist with preparation and organization of credentialing files.\nComplete credentialing-related data entry and prepare files for review.\nRespond to provider and internal staff inquiries regarding credentialing status.\nIdentify and promptly report issues that may affect production, accuracy, or quality.\nMaintain the security and confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).\nCollaborate with team members and other departments to support department priorities.\nProvide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism, consistency, dignity, and accountability.\nComplete additional projects and duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAt least 1 year of data entry experience required.\nAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if it provides the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working in a managed healthcare environment.\nKnowledge or experience with provider data and/or credentialing.\nExperience working with provider or credentialing systems.\nFamiliarity with healthcare documentation and confidential information is preferred.\nKnowledge & Skills:\nStrong data entry and attention-to-detail skills.\nAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to organize information, analyze issues, and solve problems.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with leadership, staff, providers, and external contacts.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to learn and effectively use job-specific applications and systems.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality when handling PHI and other sensitive information.\nStrong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills.\nLicensure/Certification\n\nNone required.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to read information displayed on computer screens, forms, and printed materials.\nAbility to communicate clearly in person and by telephone.\nAbility to hear and respond effectively during telephone and face-to-face communication.\nManual dexterity for typing, writing, and routine office activities.\nAbility to sit for prolonged periods and perform occasional standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and related movements.\nAbility to lift and move objects or equipment weighing approximately 10 25 pounds.\nWork Environment:\n\nThe position is primarily performed indoors in a professional office environment and involves predominantly sedentary work. The role may require schedule changes, variable work hours, and travel as needed.
