RWE Americas, LLCTo start as soon as possible, full time, permanentFunctional area: Finance / ControllingRemuneration: ExemptThe General Ledger Associate will be responsible for assigned projects to deliver month-end financial results in a timely manner to report to both the parent company and its investors. Established best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process to operate in and efficient and effective manner.The Associate will collaborate closely with Controlling Team to assist in projects variance analysis, maintain a high quality, deliverable- focused culture within the team, and continuously improve the efficiency of the accounting and reporting processes.Role Responsibilities:Perform various month end close duties, including preparing standard and miscellaneous journal entries. Preparing balance sheet account reconcilaiation and roll forward schedulesPrepare monthly/quarterly US GAAP financial statements for review by FR teamProvide ad hoc analysis as needed for internal customers and assist in special projectsPrepare responses to accounting related inquires both internal and external auditorsEstablish best practices related to the monthly close process and account reconciliation process in order to operate in an efficient and effective mannerJob Requirements and Experiences:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field requiredCPA license preferredMinimum 2 years of relevant work in the energy industry or related fieldFamiliar with IFRS and US GAAPExperience with ERP systems, SAP preferredStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables spaceExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and TeamsStrong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlinesStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a teamMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachableIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business conceptsApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
