We support you in supporting others\r\nHow You Make An Impact:\r\nReview daily schedule and assignments with the Warehouse Lead or direct supervisor\r\nLoad delivery trucks with furniture from the staging area\r\nAssist with local deliveries, including lifting and placing furniture in homes or facilities (may involve stairs or elevator access)\r\nUnload trucks returning from deliveries and donation pickups\r\nClean furniture thoroughly and perform furniture repair and refurbishment as needed\r\nAssemble purchased furniture as required\r\nSupport on-site volunteer activities, including setting up tables and assisting during volunteer projects\r\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and delivery truck daily\r\nFollow safety procedures and proper lifting techniques\r\nPerform other duties as assigned\r\nHow You Meet Qualifications:\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED\r\nWarehouse experience with moving furniture and including the types of equipment they used (forklifts, pallet jacks, inventory systems) preferred\r\nAbility to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs.\r\nExperience driving a box truck\r\nValid and clean drivers license.\r\nPrevious box truck experience preferred\r\nStrong attention to detail\r\nPositive, can-do attitude\r\nPunctual, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team\r\nCompetencies:\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nStrong organizational and time management skills\r\nAbility to take and follow detailed directions\r\nAbility to complete basic paperwork and reports\r\nAbility to build supportive and respectful working relationships that instill hope, with sensitivity to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness\r\nProven ability to work independently, as an effective team member, and collaboratively\r\nAbility to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nCommunicate effectively with others and visually read a variety of materials\r\nManual dexterity for use of keyboard, tools, controls; repetitive motion that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers\r\nAbility to drive and sit in a car for prolonged periods\r\nAbility to move between floors, including ascending and descending stairs\r\nAbility to squat, bend at the waist, crouch, reach overhead and horizontally, and kneel\r\nNotice: This description is to be used as a guide only.
