This individual will serve as a hands-on testing leader responsible for coordinating and executing all aspects of User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system testing, regression testing, and defect management.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience testing web-based applications, financial workflows, ETL processes, and data-intensive systems. This role requires someone who can quickly learn complex business processes, develop comprehensive test strategies, and independently own testing efforts from requirements through production deployment.The environment is currently heavily Microsoft-based and undergoing a strategic migration to AWS cloud technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesQA Leadership & Test ManagementLead and coordinate all phases of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scriptsReview and approve testing artifacts prepared by QA team membersServe as a subject matter expert and mentor for QA best practicesProvide testing leadership throughout the software development lifecycleHands-On TestingExecute manual testing activities across complex business applicationsValidate new functionality, enhancements, integrations, and production releasesPerform regression testing to ensure system stabilityAnalyze test results and identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issuesRetest resolved defects and validate corrective actionsFinancial & Data Workflow TestingTest complex financial workflows and business processesValidate ETL processes and data movement across systemsVerify data accuracy, integrity, and reconciliation requirementsSupport testing of web-based enterprise applications and integrated systemsDefect & Risk ManagementManage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution activitiesAssess testing impacts and communicate risks to project stakeholdersEscalate critical issues and coordinate remediation effortsMaintain visibility into testing progress and overall project qualityTest Automation & Process ImprovementDevelop and maintain automated testing strategies where applicableSupport expansion and maintenance of regression test librariesIdentify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, quality, and coverageParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and QA best practicesAgile Environment SupportParticipate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectivesPartner with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Project ManagersSupport organizations transitioning from traditional development methodologies to Agile delivery modelsContribute to Agile testing strategies and documentation updatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or QA leadership rolesStrong hands-on experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and UAT activitiesExperience testing web applications and enterprise business systemsExperience validating complex financial workflows and business processesExperience testing ETL processes and data integrationsStrong defect management and root-cause analysis skillsExperience working within Agile/Scrum environmentsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred QualificationsTest automation experience strongly preferredExperience with cloud-based environments and AWS migrationsExperience with Microsoft enterprise environmentsExperience with data validation, data warehousing, or ETL testingExperience supporting large-scale enterprise software implementationsExperience serving as a QA Lead or Senior QA AnalystTechnical EnvironmentCurrent EnvironmentMicrosoft-based enterprise applicationsFinancial workflow systemsETL and data integration platformsWeb-based business applicationsFuture-State EnvironmentAWS Cloud PlatformModernized application and data architecturesWhat Success Looks LikeWithin the first 90 days, this individual will:Gain a thorough understanding of the business systems and application landscapeLearn and document high-level business and technical requirementsIndependently own testing efforts for new features and enhancementsDevelop and execute comprehensive test casesProvide actionable feedback that improves software quality and reduces production defectsThis is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on QA professional who enjoys owning testing efforts, improving quality processes, and working closely with business and technical teams in a rapidly evolving environment.Interested in hearing more?
