The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There are no call requirements. The unit consists of 24 beds with a staff of 12, including a charge nurse on each shift. Patient ratios are 2:1 during night shifts. The equipment used includes TABLO, Belmont/Level 1 rapid infuser, Camino/Integra ICP monitoring, Flo-trac, Rotoprone, and ventilators. All forms of invasive hemodynamic monitoring and medication management are utilized. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. This is not a permanent position; only contract roles are available. The ideal candidate will have trauma experience, including certifications such as TNCC or TCAR. Typical procedures performed on the unit include code intubation, trauma level 1 intervention, and code resuscitation. The best personality fit is an engaged RN who will adhere to facility policies and guidelines. The dress code requires scrubs in galaxy blue or royal blue colors. Additional information about the unit may include updates on new equipment or technology and the experience level of the staff.
