This role is designed for an early-career professional who wants to grow at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, with a strong emphasis on SQL-driven data transformation, pipeline reliability, and analytics-ready data modeling.\r\nThe position works closely with the Data Engineer, BI Developer, and BI Manager to ingest new data sources, transform and structure data for reporting and analytics, and improve the reliability, performance, and documentation of the analytics platform. Over time, this role is expected to grow into increased ownership of production datasets, data quality monitoring, and pipeline optimization, and semantic modeling.\r\nEssential Job Functions\r\nWrite and maintain SQL transformations used to clean, standardize, and model data for reporting, analytics, and self-service use cases.\r\nAssist in managing database objects such as tables, views, schemas, and transformations used by reporting and analytics tools.\r\nHelp build and maintain structured data layers (e.g., raw, cleaned, and reporting layers).\r\nWork with the Data Engineer to onboard new data sources using a modern analytics stack.\r\nCreate and maintain curated datasets and reporting tables consumed by Power BI and other internal tools.\r\nPerform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and reliability.\r\nAssist in developing data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting.\r\nTroubleshoot data issues and support root cause analysis.\r\nDocument data pipelines, transformations, business logic, and data lineage.\r\nContribute to experimentation and adoption of AI-driven tools or models to enhance analytics, data preparation, and insight generation.\r\nKnowledge, Skills And Abilities\r\nFoundational SQL skills for querying, transforming, and validating data.\r\nBasic understanding of data modeling concepts for reporting and analytics.\r\nEnthusiasm and ability to learn cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics tools.\r\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.\r\nAnalytical mindset with the ability to ask good questions and investigate data issues.\r\nClear communication skills and comfort working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\r\nQualifications\r\n1–3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or a related role.\r\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, business, or a related field.\r\nExperience working with SQL and relational databases.\r\nExposure to reporting or analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nExposure to ETL/ELT concepts or analytics transformation frameworks.\r\nFamiliarity with cloud-based data platforms (Azure preferred).\r\nExperience with data ingestion or orchestration tools.\r\nInterest in data quality, automation, and scalable analytics.\r\nCuriosity about AI or advanced analytics techniques.\r\nFirst 90 Days\r\nGain a working understanding of existing data pipelines, data sources, and reporting datasets.\r\nDocument key data pipelines, transformations, and data lineage.\r\nSupport recurring data processes independently with guidance.\r\nBuild or enhance at least one production analytics dataset.\r\nImplement basic data validation or quality checks.\r\nGrowth Path (Internal Expectation)\r\nThis role is expected to grow over time into greater ownership of data pipelines, data modeling, quality monitoring, and performance optimization, evolving toward a full Analytics Engineer role as skills and experience develop.\r\nKey Benefits\r\nIn addition to your base compensation, we offer a competitive benefits package that includes monthly bonus opportunities, Medical/Rx, Dental, and Vision coverage, a retirement plan (401-k) with a percentage match, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, an employee assistance program, and several other benefit options.
