See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality.\n\nAt Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nContribute to the development of products from concept, design, prototyping, qualification, and production using the Navico Product Development (NPD) process.\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain application software for embedded devices.\nPartner with other team members to develop software for processing and manipulating data.\nParticipate in software verification through unit, integration, and system testing.\nSupport system-level software verification and debugging.\nDevelop Android applications using the Android SDK with Kotlin and/or Java, integrating software with embedded hardware.\nDesign and implement Android applications using modern Android architecture components, MVVM/MVP, dependency injection frameworks, and automated testing tools such as JUnit and Robolectric.\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain embedded software in C/C++.\nWork closely with engineers, project managers, and cross-functional teams across multiple locations.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, including software design and detailed requirements.\nProvide test results and technical updates.\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality and development practices.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.\n3+ years of relevant commercial experience.\nExperience developing embedded software using C/C++.\nFamiliarity with embedded systems and hardware integration.\nExperience using Git and modern software development workflows.\nIntermediate-level debugging and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering team.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience developing Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java, with familiarity with the Android SDK, MVVM/MVP, and modern Android development practices.\nExperience with embedded Linux.\nExperience developing connected or IoT devices.\nKnowledge of networking protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Ethernet.\nExposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.\nExperience working within Agile development teams.\nUnderstanding of software architecture and design patterns.\n\nThe anticipated pay range for this position is $70,600 - $101,800 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors, including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
