Branch, Texas location to perform engineering and design duties which require application of engineering principles and knowledge of substation design.\n\nDuties & Responsibilities\n\nDetail engineering and design of substation projects from conceptual design through construction from 4kV to 345kV\n\nDetail relaying, protection, and controls engineering and design\n\nDetail structural foundation and civil site engineering and design\n\nCreate/modify design documents and drawings for a project, including specifications, technical reports to support design as required by permitting agencies, and generating bills of material\n\nEffectively communicate and coordinate project activities with manager, clients, and others as needed\n\nPrepare scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that schedules and budgets are met\n\nTake on a project engineer and/or project manager role as required\n\nRequirements\n\n4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical or Civil Engineering\n\nMaster’s degree for this position is HIGHLY UNDESIRED\n\nCurrent EIT License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire (preferred)\n\nStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills\n\nExcellent interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communications skills\n\nAbility to work closely with other engineering and design team members to coordinate overall design package and requirements\n\nAbility to travel\n\nTake personal responsibility and ownership for the quality and accuracy of work product\n\nProficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation and Microsoft Office Suite\n\nAble to simultaneously manage multiple projects\n\nWork independently or in a team environment\n\nMust be able to routinely lift up to 30lbs\n\nValid driver’s license with a clean driving record required\n\nSalary commensurate with experience\n\nEmployer paid health/dental/vision insurance\n\nEmployer paid STD/LTD\n\nLife
