This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of projects from infrastructure, such as drainage structures, storage tanks, pump stations, and water and wastewater treatment facilities; to hospitals, schools, and high-profile commercial buildings across the nation. The structural engineers at RESPEC collaborate across multiple offices. Our highly talented team works on a wide range of projects for a variety of clients.\nThe Structural Engineer will be a part of our growing Structural team. The engineer’s structural analysis and design experience will support new construction, structural investigations and rehabilitations/renovations in collaboration with architects and civil, mechanical, electrical, and engineers. Interpreting building codes and standards, preparing structural plans and details, and conducting related construction observations for RESPEC’s structural projects—while applying technical knowledge to meet stakeholder expectations—are key aspects of this position.\n\nQualifications\n\nOur ideal candidate enjoys working with a team and diving into new challenges, and will have the following qualifications:\nMS in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a structural emphasis\nProfessional Engineering registration\nExperience in steel, wood, concrete, and precast/prestressed concrete design\nKnowledge of construction practices and methods\nMinimum 5 to 8 years of experience in structural engineering\nRISA, STAAD, SAP, or similar Structural Analysis Software experience.\nExperience with preparing plans, specifications, and design calculations.\nSelf-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.\nDetail oriented and well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nDesire to learn and advance in technical skills and understanding.\nAdditional Preferred Experience/Skills:\nRevit experience.\nProject Management experience and/or Project Management Professional Certification.\nExperience with review of structural construction.\nInterest in continued professional development.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nCompensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The typical salary range for this position is $85,000 to $120,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package.
