SummaryThe Patient Service Coordinator role manages complex scheduling for the practice and is responsible for providing administrative and office support for patients and providers.We are seeking aPatient Service Coordinatorto support our Behavioral Health Team by providing high‑quality patient interaction and essential administrative coordination. This role is responsible for patient check‑in/check‑out, appointment coordination, registration accuracy, provider support, and daily office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, patient‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and manage check‑in and check‑out processesCoordinate patient appointments and ensure all registration requirements are completedServe as a primary point of contact for patient inquiriesBuild and maintain strong working relationships with providers to support patient care coordinationComplete monthly reporting and assist with administrative tasks for the geriatric teamManage calendars, faxing, supply ordering, and expense processingMaintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standardsSupport general office operations to ensure an efficient and welcoming environmentRequired Skills & QualificationsExperience in a patient‑facing or customer service roleStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and manage time effectivelyProficiency with scheduling systems, electronic health records (EHR), or similar platformsAttention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staffPreferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a healthcare or medical office is preferredFamiliarity with patient registration workflows and insurance processesRequired Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.License/Certifications: N/AExperience: Two years of administrative patient service experience.Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/AAdditional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.Hiring Scam AlertMaineHealth will never request financial information during the interview or pre-hiring process.
