Polyventive manufactures a variety of specialty chemicals and has significant expertise in polymers, esters, surfactants, as well as acid and base handling. The role will require a collaborative approach and delivery of optimization and efficiency improvements of multiple facilities in Northwest Georgia.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a change agent within the Polyventive Operations team.\nFocus on driving process continual improvements in efficiency and safety.\nConduct experiments, data analysis and troubleshooting for production issues.\nLead projects that address optimization and removal of constraints that are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.\nPrepare technical reports, process documentation and presentations for all levels of the organization.\nEnsure that all processes comply with safety and environmental regulations.\nConduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.\nDrive the maximization of asset utilization within the Polyventive operations group.\nLead process scale-up of new products.\nWork on cross-functional teams (including the Commercial, R&D, Purchasing and Transportation functions) to drive cost reduction initiatives.\nTeam with EH&S Manager and facility Plant Managers to drive our safety culture and EH&S initiatives.\nDevelop and maintain operating procedures for manufacturing processes.\nManage plant controllable and project costs to budget.\nParticipate and, as necessary, lead Incident Reporting, GEMBA and 5S programs.\nEssential Qualifications and Skills BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or in Mechanical Engineering with chemical manufacturing experience\n5+ years of experience\nPrior experience in design and equipment processes; scale up, ownership of productivity and capital investment project management.\nSix Sigma Black Belt and Lean Manufacturing preferred\nDirect experience in chemical plant batch operations\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nExcellent computer and quantitative ability\nKnowledge of basic polymer chemistry\nKnowledge of OSHA, Hazmat and EPA Compliance & Regulations\nWork Environment Work is typically performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment. Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required. Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor and fumes in the normal course of production.
