Lead Accountant

Job Title: Accounting ManagerLocation: Boise, IDOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing organization in the food manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving financial processes and driving operational efficiency.The Accounting Manager will oversee the full accounting function using QuickBooks Enterprise and manage the revenue cycle from order entry through accounts receivable.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all core accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), payroll, general ledger, and month-end closeSupervise order entry, billing, and collections processesMaintain and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Enterprise) in a multi-brand setupPrepare accurate and timely financial statementsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementDevelop and strengthen internal controls and financial processesLead annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation activitiesMentor and supervise accounting staff, if applicableRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred, not mandatory)QuickBooks experience (preferred)Accounting experience in manufacturing or related industry (preferred)Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, and profitability analysisExperience in process improvement and financial controlsHigh attention to detail and strong analytical skillsAbility to clearly communicate financial insights to leadershipPreferred SkillsFinancial process improvementFinancial forecasting and budgetingAccounts payable and receivable managementCash flow managementManufacturing or CPG industry experienceStrong proficiency in QuickBooks
