About The Position **Job Title:** OR Tech **Job Specialty:** Surgical Services **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 10 Hour Variable **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of OR Level 1 or 2 trauma experience **License:** N/A **Certifications:**CST: BLS, graduation from accredited school (CST preferred)SFA: BLS, CSFA (NBSTSA or NCCSA) **Must-Have:**CST: 2 years of experience with various surgical case types, including Davinci XI and Craniotomy experience required for TraumaSFA: 2 years of experience with the aforementioned case types **Job Description:**Work in a facility with 12 operating rooms, 20 pre-op bays, and 14 PACU bays.Care for surgical patients, including those undergoing Urology, Neuro, Ortho, Robotic, General, Podiatry, and ENT procedures.Maintain a 1:1 ratio in the operating room, and up to 1:3 in the PACU Phase II depending on patient acuity.Provide support in surgery alongside RNs, First Assists, Surgical Techs, Nurse Clinicians, and other medical staff.Use the EPIC charting system and equipment.Flexibility to float to Central Sterile Processing as needed.One-week orientation for facility and unit.Participate in weekend rotations and be on-call as department needs change, including one overnight per week and every third weekend.Must be able to respond within 15 minutes during on-call times.Expected to work at least 2 of the 4 major holidays.Approval for time off must be coordinated with the Manager.
