We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our Colorectal Clinic part-time. This dual role position is crucial in providing both administrative and clinical support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced medical environment, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to patient care. This position will mostly serve as front office support but will need to assist in a Medical Assistant capacity when needed. Front Office Duties: Welcome and check-in patients with professionalism and empathy Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Verify insurance information and collect co-pays/deductibles Answer multi-line phone system and direct calls appropriately Maintain and update patient records in EMR system Prepare and manage correspondence, referrals, and prior authorizations Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area Medical Assistant Duties: Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs Review and update patient medical histories Assist physicians with minor surgical procedures and exams Prepare and clean treatment rooms and surgical instruments Manage inventory of medical and office supplies Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient education and care instructions Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting (surgical clinic experience a plus) Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Proficient in EMR systems and Microsoft Office CPR certification required Key Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Professional demeanor and appearance Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Team player with a proactive and flexible approach Working Conditions: Office and clinical environment May require long periods of standing or sitting Occasional lifting of supplies or assisting patients Schedule: Monday, Thursday and Friday Salary: $22-26/hour based on experience Job Type: Part-time Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) License/Certification: BLS Certification (Preferred) Certified Medical Assistant (Required) Work Location: In person
