Contract Specialist

Global Reinsurer is looking to hire a proven Contracts Specialist to draft and review complex Life & Health reinsurance contracts. Ideally with a strong understanding of reinsurance structures and underwriting concepts, you will work closely with client managers, underwriting, pricing, claims, legal and operations. You will definitely need Life insurance knowledge, ideally Life & Health. Reinsurance is desired but not mandatory as they will provide training within the team structure. As such this represents a great opportunity to come in an learn a niche skill. This is an initial 6 month contract, almost certainly leading to Full Time Employment. If you are a senior candidate, Fort Wayne and Armonk are options, if you need to build on your knowledge with support form the team then Fort Wayne will be the location.The key role: Reviewing client prepared and internally prepared documents. Conducting research on previous amendments within the Treaty, structuring documents and agreements in line with underwriting intent. Comfortable using technology, workflow tools and GenAI, you will exercise commercial judgement and assess risk, owning end-to-end drafting for assigned deals, ensuring contracts reflect deal structure and commercial terms. The role requires 3 days per week in the Fort Wayne office as a minimum.
