This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and be a part of a first-class organization working on complex, leading-edge network technology. In this role, the selected individual will be responsible for providing engineering expertise for complex multi-service networking.\n\nThe identified Network Engineer is responsible for engineering and supporting the network design, deployment, and operations for a large government customer located in Baltimore, Maryland. This position requires 25% to 50% travel to our customer site located in Baltimore, MD. This selected individual is required to be on-site 2-3 times per week, as needed by our customer.\n\nAnalyze current network configurations and determine implementation requirements.\nConfigure routing protocols, complex switch networks, and Fabric Path configurations\nPrepare network equipment for deployment by loading appropriate software and configuration settings according to pre engineered design templates.\nAssemble required equipment, cables, adapters, etc., and arrange delivery to the site for installation.\nUpgrade the configuration of existing network equipment to support new features and functions.\nWork with field installation contractors while they are on-site and provide all technical details to complete installations.\nContinually review the customer's network and practices, looking for opportunities to enhance network functionality, performance, and reliability.\nAssist in the evaluation of potential network products or technical solutions.\nTest LAN/WAN and WLAN equipment software (i.e., IOS, NXOS)\nContribute to the development of network documentation, including diagrams, standards, specifications, and operating procedures.\nMonitor for opportunities to enhance the customer network/system performance or reliability.\nMonitor for opportunities to improve the customer service delivery practices.\nPerform ongoing management of network installation and upgrade projects and maintain deployment schedules.\nProvide guidance to team members and provide status metrics to the Government customer and Peraton management.\nProvide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems. Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.\nMaintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology.\nUnderstand the network requirements of remote customer offices, campus buildings, and Data Centers. Define equipment, cables, adapters, and configurations needed to upgrade buildings and sites to the established standard.\n,\nRequired Skills\n\nBS/BA with 8 years of experience, MS/MA and 6 years of experience, or 3 years with a PhD, or High School Diploma and 11 years of related experience in lieu of degree requirement.\nMust have 4 years of experience administering and using the Cisco ISE platform\nMust have 4 years of experience in a System Administration discipline with experience administering VMware vCenter,\nUnix/Linux and Windows platforms.\nA minimum of 4 years’ experience with Cisco router and switch configuration commands, and configuring the network authentication using the TACACS and RADIUS protocols.\nA minimum of 4 years of experience configuring management tools using the SNMP protocol, as well as Microsoft Active Directory user account administration\nA minimum of three (3) years of experience with the Python scripting language\nMust have Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification.\nMust be located within commutable distance to the Baltimore, MD office to support on-site role requirements 2-3 times a week with our customer\nMust be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance\n,\nDesired Skills\n\nPassed Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional – Enterprise Core exam within the last two years.\nA minimum of 4 years of experience writing Python scripting language and Regular Expression\nA minimum of 5 years of experience implementing Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) product in a large multi-data center and enterprise environment.\nA minimum of 5 years of experience deploying Cisco Virtual Private Network product such as Cisco ASA and Cisco Wireless LAN, in a multi-office and large campus environment.\nAt least 5 years of experience working with physical media and equipment associated with wired and wireless networking.\nDemonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer daily\n,\nAdditional Details\n\nAt CyberCore, we believe in taking care of our employees both inside and outside the workplace.
