Order Management Specialist

Job DescriptionAnswer phones: forward to responsible function, or respond to basic inquiries Monitor general e-mailboxes for orders and inquiries Order entry and processing, including order confirmations and shipping notifications Packing, labeling, and shipping of orders; set up shipments in UPS, FedEx, and DHL, Freight Forwarders Monitor levels of office supplies and packing materials alerting management to refill needs. Process customer returns and complaints Process sample requests and support sales management in sample follow up as requested Respond to inquiries for price and availability for standard products; prepare non-standard quotes for management approval Long term goal to manage inventory supply Will be trained to use inventory management softwareAdjusting and assembly of lenses as neededSupport other areas of business operations as needed such as Marketing, productions of special products. Other support tasks as needed by managementProcess up to 10 orders per dayQualificationsPrevious customer service or customer interaction experience Previous sales experience a plus Previous quoting experience in any industry a plus Previous shipping logistics experience a plus Good organizational skills Ability to lift thirty pounds Detail oriented and methodical Personal commitment to provide excellent customer service Computer skills including use of the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn new applications are also essential.
