In this role, you will contribute to the continued growth and operational excellence of our luxury residential portfolio. This position plays an important part in advancing Dermot’s commitment to delivering exceptional resident experiences, supporting property performance, and upholding our standards of integrity, collaboration, and innovation.This is a full-time position based in New York City. Some nights, weekends, and holidays are required.How You’ll Make An ImpactReporting to the Senior Manager, Lifestyle & Events, the Coordinator will be supporting initiatives that drive Dermot resident engagement under the Dermot’s Ignite hospitality brand through specialized, luxury event programming, exclusive partnerships, and various additional platforms and services. Our Ignite team engages with our residents to promote a sense of community.ResponsibilitiesThe Lifestyle & Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning and leading events across our NYC properties. It is essential for our Ignite team to engage with the residents at events. Our attendance can range from 20 residents to 300 residents depending on the event. Past events for our residents include, but are not limited to:Super Bowl PartiesCocktail Mixology ClassTerrarium WorkshopsComedy NightSummer BBQ PartiesValentine’s Day EventsKid EventsCooking ClassesSelf Defense ClassesPaint and SipSome of the things you'll be doing include, but are not limited to:Planning, advertising, and ensuring successful execution of lifestyle, health and wellness events and programming across the Dermot portfolio as well as for Dermot employeesProviding exceptional customer service to directly impact high enrollment, retention and satisfaction with Dermot’s Ignite membershipsAssisting in growing a luxury hospitality and marketing brand and creating awareness around the brandAssisting in planning ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) events and growing our social initiativesProviding relevant reporting to property teams, leadership, and investors as requestedOther projects as assignedAbout You And What You OfferBachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (GPA 3.0 or above)1-3 years of hands-on event planning and hosting experienceExceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow through skillsA strong work ethic and commitment to meet deadlinesCreativity and an inclination to think outside the boxWorking knowledge of current social media trends and understanding of the platforms’ algorithmsYou are personable, outgoing, and enjoy meeting new peopleYou'd describe yourself as a self-starter and a multitaskerYou enjoy researching and keeping up with the latest developments in event planningAuthorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictionsMust be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.About Our Culture & Total RewardsOur team is the most valuable asset we have. The annualized gross base range for this position is between 65,000-68,000 plus discretionary bonus.
