Provide instruction and guidance to clients in learning and practicing life skills, including but not limited to budgeting, personal hygiene, communication, and self-care.\nWillingness to be on-call on a rotating basis\nSupport and engage in outdoor activities with the residents such as hiking, nature walks, outdoor games.\nParticipate in equine-therapy related activities: helping with horse care (as appropriate), leading or accompanying the girls in equine-based experiences.\nLift, carry and transport supplies, equipment, gear (e.g., outdoor recreation gear, hiking backpacks, equine equipment) as needed.\nBe prepared to assist in moving furniture or other items in support of house operations, activity setups, or facility maintenance.\nServe as a positive role model: engage in play, recreation, mentoring; build healthy, trusting relationships with the girls; participate in structured and unstructured activities.\nMonitor behavior, document observations, support therapeutic staff in implementing behavior plans and safety protocols.\nWork as part of the residential team: attend staff meetings, shift hand-offs, trainings, collaborate with case management, therapists, external partners.\nAdditional Responsibilities:\nMaintain a clean home environment\nAble to prepare meals and oversee the preparation of meals\nAssist in maintaining adequate records\nAble to transport youth in a Sarah’s Home vehicle to and from appointments or scheduled activities\nExperience/Education/Qualifications:\n2 yrs college and/or 1 yr college experience in a human services field\nMust not be less than 21 years of age\nExperience working with teens (desirable)\nExperience with at-risk youth, trauma survivors, or counseling/social work is preferred\nQMAP Certification: Must currently hold, or have the ability to obtain, QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) certification within the next 6 months.
