You may be contacted by phone by recruitment personnel based in either Canada or New York.\nWork Shift:\nFirst Shift (United States of America)\nJob Description:\nThe Material Handler is responsible for maneuvering material throughout the factory.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for moving materials and components about the factory using carts, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes\nMaintains a steady flow of parts through workstations\nCoordinates material flow to ensure packing and shipping schedule\nAssist with the loading and unloading of incoming and outbound trucks\nMinor data entry tasks\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, high-production area with minimal supervision\nAll other duties as requested by management\nQualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nMust be able to pass truck and crane certification with training upon hire\nComputer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs\nAbility to participate in minor data entry\nAbility to read a tape measure\nAbility to read a blueprint\nAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterity\nClimb portable ladders\nMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision\nWork Environment:\nADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements\nAble to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nAble to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel, or crouch (5%), as required.\nAble to climb a portable ladder\nAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.\nAble to wear hearing protectors (earplugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.\nGorbel® is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, creed, color, religion, alienage or national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, disability or handicap, gender, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, arrest record, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
