This position will serve as administrative support to the Senior Director of Development and the Director of Women of Vision/LEAD Fund. The Development Coordinator will oversee all board activities for Women of Vision, LEAD, and The Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Board, including meetings, fundraisers, and professional development programs.\n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\nServe as point of contact and provide high-level administrative support to the assigned Development Officers, ensuring that various administrative tasks are done in an effective and efficient manner.\nCollaborate closely with the Development Staff and Special Events team to plan, orchestrate, and implement advisory board fundraisers and other board-related events with the objective to deepen the bond between Flagler College and advisory board members.\nOversee all advisory board operations, including meetings, subcommittee meetings, and receptions during the academic semesters.\nManage invitation lists, RSVPs, marketing materials and follow-up communications for events.\nCollaborate with the Special Events staff for space reservations, event design, and scheduling.\nCoordinate all catering, maintenance, security, AV/tech, and housekeeping needs related to each event.\nAssist with Advisory Board Chairs, Deans, Faculty, and Development staff to ensure the productivity and effectiveness of all Flagler College advisory boards.\nTake/Transcribe minutes and record and track attendance for all advisory board meetings.\nRespond to inquiries from board members and donors.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor's degree\nMinimum 2 years of relevant experience in volunteer/donor relations, with an understanding of philanthropy as it relates to not-for-profit organizations.\nKnowledge and Skills:\nSuperior organizational skills.\nExcellent writing and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.\nStrong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.\nStrong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong project management skills to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with competing deadlines.\nAbility to listen and respond with diplomacy and tact.\nAbility to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.\nProficient in MS Office Suite, database applications, and Mailchimp or similar programs.\nStrong customer service focus.\nAbility and confidence to communicate, interact with, energize, and lead varied constituencies; that are effective with a diverse range of audiences including board members, volunteers, internal staff, donors, executives, potential funding partners, and all constituencies.\nAbility to think strategically and translate to individual areas of responsibility.\nAbility and confidence to design, recommend and apply creative solutions to meet objectives.\nPhysical and Working Conditions:\nLight work: exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.\nClimbing, balancing, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, repetitive motions, and ability to communicate appropriately with students/colleagues; ability to access multi-storied buildings and multiple-level staircases.\nOccasional evening and/or weekend hours may be required.\n\nFlagler College is a private liberal arts college located in St. Augustine, Florida.
