Human Resources Assistant I Location: Omaha, NEDepartment: Human ResourcesEmployment Type: Full-TimeSalary: BOE (Based on Experience)Reports To: Human Resources ManagerAbout The RoleThe Human Resources Assistant I plays a key role in supporting daily HR operations and delivering an exceptional team member experience. This position provides administrative and operational support across multiple HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, team member relations, internal communications, and engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and committed to maintaining confidentiality while delivering outstanding service. What You’ll Do Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Champion and uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of WarHorse Gaming, LLCServe as the first point of contact for the HR office by greeting visitors, answering phones, and assisting applicants and team membersSupport recruitment efforts, including application assistance, administering assessments, and coordinating interviews and talent auditionsAssist with New Hire Orientation and onboarding processesMaintain accurate employee records, data entry, and HR systems (HCMS, ATS, LMS)Manage team member and vendor badges, gaming licensing, and renewalsPrepare reports, conduct basic research, and support HR projectsMaintain HR office, lobby, and team member areas to ensure they are clean, organized, and well-stockedAssist with internal communications, including employee portals, postings, and compliance noticesCoordinate team member engagement, wellness, and retention eventsReserve meeting rooms, training spaces, and audio-visual equipmentMonitor and replenish department suppliesRespond to team member inquiries and escalate concerns as neededMaintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive informationDeliver exceptional guest and team member service aligned with company standardsPerform additional duties as assigned What We’re Looking For Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of two (2) years of HR assistant or coordinator experienceStrong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience with HR systems such as HCMS, ATS, or LMSAbility to handle confidential information with professionalismPreferred QualificationsFacilitation or presentation experienceExperience in hospitality, gaming, or high-volume environments Core Competencies Guest FocusTeamwork OrientationCommunication ProficiencyEthical ConductInitiativeProblem Solving & AnalysisDecision MakingFlexibility & AdaptabilityStress Management & Composure Work Environment & Schedule Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededWork is primarily performed in an office and casino environmentExposure to secondhand smoke and moderate noise levels may occur Physical Requirements Ability to move throughout the property and remain on feet for extended periodsAbility to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionallyStrong visual, auditory, and communication abilities requiredCapable of maintaining focus and productivity in a fast-paced environment Licensing & Certifications Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Nebraska Gaming License Additional Information This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
