Grocery & Retail is one of the largest growth bets for Uber, bringing on-demand grocery delivery to customers of Uber Eats around the world.\n\nYou would be joining an exciting engineering team on Uber Grocery, focused on building the best-in-class customer experience. Our team is responsible for building the end-to-end Grocery shopping experience that enables our customers to discover and shop for the merchants and items that they know and love.\n\nWhat you will do\n\nIn this role, you will collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to build and maintain backend services and solutions to support user-facing products and internal tools and platforms used across Uber.\n\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 1-year full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 1-year total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:\nProgramming language (e.g. C, C++, Java, Python, or Go)\nNote the 1-year total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The year of specialized experience is not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProduct engineering\nScalability engineering\nDistributed systems\n\nFor San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$158,000 per year - USD$175,500 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
