This individual will serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales lifecycle, helping customers understand how Microsoft technologies can improve business outcomes, enhance security, modernize infrastructure, and increase operational efficiency.\n\nThe ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Microsoft's cloud, security, workplace, and AI portfolios, along with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions for technical and executive audiences.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nServe as the primary technical resource supporting Microsoft-focused sales opportunities.\n\nPartner with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.\n\nConduct customer discovery sessions to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and operational challenges.\n\nDesign and present Microsoft-based solutions aligned to customer needs and industry best practices.\n\nDevelop solution architectures, technical proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and supporting documentation.\n\nDeliver compelling executive briefings, technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.\n\nCollaborate with Microsoft account teams, partner organizations, and internal practice leaders to develop and position solutions.\n\nSupport responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other customer procurement activities.\n\nAssist customers in developing cloud adoption, security modernization, workplace transformation, and AI strategies.\n\nMaintain current knowledge of Microsoft's solution portfolio, licensing programs, and strategic initiatives.\n\nPartner with delivery and services organizations to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.\n\nRepresent Red River at customer events, conferences, partner engagements, and industry forums.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience.\n\n5+ years of experience in presales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related customer-facing roles.\n\nExperience designing, presenting, and positioning Microsoft-based solutions within enterprise environments.\n\nStrong understanding of cloud architecture, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, and modern workplace technologies.\n\nThe successful candidate should demonstrate expertise and solution-selling experience in one or more of the following areas:\n\nAzure Cloud, Infrastructure, and Modernization\n\nMicrosoft 365 and Modern Work Solutions\n\nMicrosoft Security and Compliance\n\nData, Analytics, and AI Solutions\n\nMicrosoft Copilot and Generative AI Technologies\n\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive stakeholders.\n\nExperience developing technical proposals, solution designs, and customer-facing deliverables.\n\nStrong verbal, written, and presentation skills.\n\nAbility to travel as needed to support customer and partner engagements.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience supporting Commercial, Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), State & Local Government, or highly regulated commercial customers.\n\nUnderstanding of managed services and recurring revenue business models.\n\nFamiliarity with Microsoft licensing programs and commercial agreements.\n\nExperience working with Microsoft field teams and partner ecosystems.\n\nPreferred Certifications\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate\n\nMicrosoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert\n\nKey Competencies\n\nConsultative Selling\n\nSolution Architecture & Design\n\nCustomer Discovery & Business Alignment\n\nExecutive Presentation & Communication\n\nTechnical Leadership\n\nCloud & Security Transformation\n\nStrategic Account Support\n\nProposal Development & Technical Writing\n\nRelationship Management\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration\n\nSpecial Requirements\nTravel requirement varies and can be up to 50% depending upon work location.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nU.S. Citizenship Required\n\nRed River offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and an exceptional work environment.
