Body Shop Production Manager/Estimator

Body Shop Production Manager/Estimator Salary: $60,000 to $85,000 per year based on experience Lee Auto Malls has a great opportunity join our busy body shop in Auburn as a Production Manager/Estimator. You will play a crucial role in the vehicle repair process by ensuring that all vehicles have a comprehensive and accurate repair plan. Your responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments of vehicle damage to create detailed repair plans, identifying all necessary parts and additional labor requirements, and maintaining clear and consistent communication to prevent production delays and minimize the need for multiple supplements. Your attention to detail and ability to coordinate effectively with various teams will be key in delivering high-quality repairs and maintaining efficient production workflows. Body Shop Production Manager/Estimator Requirements: Repair Plan Preparation: Ensure that an extensive pre-repair process is completed on every vehicle to create a complete and accurate repair plan to eliminate multiple supplements. Makes decisions regarding sublet repair processing as needed and coordinate the timing of sublet work to keep overall cycle time as low as possible. Coordination of Daily Production: Work closely with the Estimating staff to create the daily production plan including the movement of vehicles between departments. Estimator: Work as the liaison between customers and insurance adjusters as needed. Distribute Work Assignments: Using knowledge of each staff member skills, experience and capabilities, appropriately assign vehicles to technicians. Meet with each technician daily to discuss work assignments and schedules. Coordination of Technician Staff: Monitor work quality and provide day-to-day feedback and coaching to technicians. Assign work to the appropriate Body/Refinish Tech. Coordinate the maintenance of the shop equipment by oneself or the necessary vendor. Maintain OEM Certified requirements for the manufacture as needed. Body Shop Production Manager/Estimator Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of collision repair processes gained through a minimum of 2 years of hands-on industry experience. Experience with the CCC One production management preferred. Able to make independent decisions on the repair process, parts and timing. Demonstrated commitment to continued learning by participating in industry-required training.
