Fully remote, ASAP start, with potential for extension or conversion to permanent.What You'll Be Doing:Run multi-state payroll across 8+ states including California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and moreOwn the full AP cycle — vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, and reconciliationsManage payroll tax filings and registrations as the company expands into new statesTrack and maintain business licenses, health permits, food handler certifications, and sales tax registrations across all locationsBuild and maintain Excel/Google Sheets trackers for payroll costs, AP aging, and compliance statusReconcile payroll and AP accounts during monthly closeIdentify process inefficiencies and drive improvements in a fast-paced, scaling environmentRespond to employee payroll questions with accuracy and professionalismWhat We're Looking For:2–4 years of payroll, AP, or accounting experienceMulti-state payroll experience required — California payroll regulations a mustStrong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills — pivot tables, lookups, large datasetsExperience with Rippling preferred — other major payroll systems acceptableHighly organized with strong attention to detailAble to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environmentDegree in accounting, finance, business, or related field#PayrollJobs #AccountsPayable #RemoteWork #ContractJobs #MultiStatePayroll #NowHiring
