Human Resources Business PartnerThe Human Resources Business Partner serves as both strategic and operational support to Shared Services and property Human Resources teams. This role partners with business leaders to support key HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, engagement, and compliance, while ensuring alignment with organizational and business goals. The HRBP delivers high-quality HR services across multiple locations, including oversight of HR systems (HRIS), analytics, benefits and leave administration, licensing, and Team Member engagement. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the team member experience, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring consistent, compliant HR practices across all properties.Essential duties and responsibilities include partnering with property leadership to align HR support with business needs and operational goals, serving as a key point of contact for team member inquiries, providing day-to-day HR guidance, support, and problem resolution across multiple locations, supporting property openings, high-volume hiring periods, and other operational initiatives, leading or assisting with special projects, HR programs, and cross-property initiatives, serving as HRIS subject matter expert, maintaining HR data integrity throughout Company systems, leveraging HR and business data to inform decision-making, leading data administration for learning management system, developing and maintaining HR documentation, policies, and "How-To" guides, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability, maintaining personnel records, HR systems, and the VA operations intranet, managing full-cycle recruitment, partnering with leaders to drive effective and timely hiring practices, overseeing onboarding processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience, facilitating new hire orientation and support training initiatives as needed, supporting employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance concerns, ensuring compliance with Company policies and federal/state regulations/postings, including I-9 and OSHA requirements, maintaining confidentiality of team member information, processing terminations, unemployment claims and supporting leave administration, promoting a positive, team member-focused culture aligned with Company values, partnering with leadership to support engagement initiatives and efforts to enhance the employee experience, assisting with company-wide programs such as Open Enrollment, engagement surveys, performance review campaigns, training, and TM recognition events, acting as liaison with the Virginia Racing Commission (VRC), ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, communicating regulatory updates and streamlining licensing and renewal processes, and performing other duties as assigned.Required skills and abilities include the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity, self-starter with ability to independently manage multiple competing demands, excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills required, a problem solver with strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate data for decision making, demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals and groups with widely varying backgrounds, perspectives, education, and skills, proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, or equivalent, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Education and experience include a Bachelor's degree preferred with emphasis on Human Resources, Business or related fields. At least three (3) years of progressive HR experience in a high-volume workplace. Experience in gaming, hospitality or other service driven work environments is ideal. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid racing license. Valid driver's license.Physical requirements and working conditions include sitting and standing for extended periods of time, frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and may include exposure to smoke in various areas of the properties.
