Posting Number2016338TDepartment SummaryReporting to the Director of Articulation and Credit Services, the Assistant Director for Transfer Credit Evaluation serves on the Online, Transfer & Credit Services team and oversees the daily management of external credit evaluation services for prospective, admitted, continuing, and returning students. This role serves as a primary point of contact for students, staff, and faculty, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of transfer credit policies and procedures while delivering a high level of customer service. The assistant director collaborates closely with academic and enrollment stakeholders to support accurate and consistent credit evaluation practices that uphold the integrity of the Ohio University degree. The Assistant Director leads and develops a team of transfer credit evaluators, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback while managing efficient, high quality external course evaluation operations. Responsibilities include reviewing and equating domestic and international coursework, ensuring compliance with university and state articulation policies (including OT36, TAG, CTAG, ITAG, and MTAG), maintaining equivalency data, and supporting articulation and pathway development initiatives. This position plays a key role in assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement of transfer credit processes to support student access, mobility, and enrollment goals. Performs course registration and scheduling, class changes and additions, maintenance of student records, and degree audits. Collaborates across University to ensure accuracy of information and academic records data integrity. Creates reports for internal and external audiences. Minimum QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 3 or more years of related professional experience, and 1 or more years of supervisory experience, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in college admissions, academic advising in higher education, college student personnel, or counseling or teaching in secondary schools; demonstrated interpersonal communication and public speaking skills. The incumbent is able to represent the University in a professional and positive manner and abide by the National Association for College Admission Counseling's Guide to Ethical Practice in College Admission. Ability to travel independently including overnight and internationally. Ability to pass background checks, university judiciary review, and regular driving history audits.
