Job Description Position: Beach StewardDepartment: Pool, Lounge, & Corporate Events OperationsReports To: Venue ManagementSalary Type: Hourly (Non-Tipped)Position Summary: The Beach Steward is responsible for supporting day-to-day operations within a resort-style pool and corporate events environment, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and overall venue readiness across all guest-facing and back-of-house areas. This role plays an essential part in maintaining an elevated guest experience by upholding presentation standards, supporting service teams, and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout Soleia Las Vegas.Essential FunctionsThe following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive:Support daily operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all pool deck and service areasAnticipate team member and operational needs and respond with urgency and professionalismEnsure all guest-facing and back-of-house areas reflect resort-style cleanliness and presentation standardsMaintain cleanliness of walkways, floors, service stations, and high-traffic areas throughout serviceProperly remove, transport, and dispose of garbage, dirty dishware, glassware, and linensAssist with dishwashing operations, including cleaning, storing, and organizing service ware appropriatelyRestock and maintain supply areas including towels, linens, glassware, and cleaning suppliesSet up and break down sanitation stations, service areas, and operational support areas as directedPerform opening and closing side work as assigned to ensure operational readinessAssist with towel operations including restocking towel walls and rolling towels as neededSafely and properly use approved cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation toolsReport any breakage, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to management immediatelyWork collaboratively with all departments to ensure smooth and efficient operationsMaintain awareness of venue operations and support team members as needed to ensure seamless service flowMaintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude at all timesFollow all grooming, uniform, and presentation standards in accordance with company policyAssist with and/or complete additional duties as assignedResponsible Alcohol ServiceMonitor alcohol consumption and guest behavior for signs of intoxicationEscalate alcohol-related or guest behavior concerns to management immediatelyComply with all applicable local, state, and federal alcohol laws and regulationsSafety & ComplianceFollow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including SNHD requirementsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all timesReport accidents, hazards, or unsafe conditions immediately to managementFollow all company safety policies and proceduresQualifications & RequirementsMust be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentAbility to obtain required work cards (Food Handler Card, Alcohol Awareness Card, and any other required certifications)Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)1–2 years of experience in hospitality, resort-style venues, high-volume food and beverage serviceSkills & AbilitiesStrong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally and warmly with guests and team membersAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume, and high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalismExcellent multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detailStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain objective and resolve guest concerns effectivelyStrong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a service-driven environmentHigh level of personal integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism at all timesStrong attention to personal appearance and adherence to grooming, hygiene, and uniform standardsAbility to listen actively, communicate clearly in both verbal and written English, and maintain respectful interactions at all timesAbility to navigate the venue efficiently, including use of stairs, elevators, and high-traffic service areasPhysical DemandsThe work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing essential job functions.
