Engineer","description":"Location: Ishpeming, MI\nJob Overview Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Structural Engineer at our Tilden Mine facility in Ishpeming, MI.\nResponsibilities Manage all aspects of civil and structural engineering projects including cost estimates, material specifications, and design of structures, supports, and facilities.\nDirect and coordinate work performed by engineering consultants, contractors, and bargaining unit employees to monitor progress and ensure conformity to engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards.\nProvide civil and structural technical guidance and expertise to management, engineers, maintenance, and operating employees on a daily basis.\nInspect, analyze, and determine the structural integrity of overhead cranes, building floors, conveyors, and roofs.\nDesign structural repairs for building structures and equipment supports that become damaged or deteriorated.\nConduct studies and prepare reports on project feasibility and cost projections.\nMake recommendations for potential cost‑savings projects.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in civil or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).\n5–7 years of experience managing civil and/or structural engineering projects.\nComputer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and AutoCAD.\nCompetent communication skills both oral & written.\nProblem‑solving skills.\nSound knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.\nCurrent driver’s license.\nPassed FE exam.\nLegally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.\nPreferred Qualifications Master of Science degree in civil or mechanical engineering with a focus on structural engineering.\nExperience working in mining or mineral processing operations.\nSupervisory experience.\nExperience with CMMS software.\nBenefits Competitive pay with variable compensation opportunity, health insurance,
