We're a close-knit, cross-disciplinary team with deep expertise spanning hardware, software, infrastructure, and operations — and we're looking for someone who thrives at that intersection.You'll join a small, tightly integrated team where your contributions have real reach: the tools we build are used by hundreds of engineers across Apple's cross-functional silicon debug community. You'll collaborate on a well-established, evolving ecosystem and be challenged to bring a new perspective and opportunities to the table.\nDescription Design, build, and enhance silicon debug tools spanning automated feature extraction, data collation, visualization, and analysis\nDrive rapid, targeted debug and triage workflows for engineers across the silicon pipeline\nContribute to both frontend, backend, and design specific development within a professional engineering environment\nExplore and implement shift-left strategies to surface issues earlier in the silicon development cycle\nActively leverage AI — both for productivity and in tool capabilities — to accelerate debug and triage intelligence\nIdentify new development opportunities and bring your own ideas into the roadmap\nMinimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 20 years relevant industry experience.\nPreferred Qualifications Experience with SoC architecture and micro-architecture\nProven ability to drive silicon tool development from concept to delivery\nStrong full-stack development instincts: comfortable across frontend, backend, and data layers\nHands-on experience with C, Python, and SystemVerilog\nExperience applying AI/ML in real engineering workflows\nStrong problem-solving skills and comfort operating across hardware and software boundaries\nCollaborative by nature\nExperience with DFX (Design for Test/Debug/Manufacturability)\nExperience with databases and data pipeline design, including ETL/ELT concepts\nAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $216,200 and $394,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.\nApple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
