We are a diverse, creative, and passionate crew who is always looking to discover and implement fresh, innovative ideas and make some pretty amazing things.\n\nJOB SUMMARY\nThe Picker position will perform numerous operations to support the plant bindery, warehousing, distribution and/or fulfillment functions. Responsible for performing tasks associated general production duties such as monitoring to ensure product is produced efficiently within quality specifications.\n\nThis position has direct and indirect responsibility to ensure that all work activities under its span of control are performed with attention to the highest standards of quality, safe processes, consistent standards and compliance with all appropriate legal requirements with a focus on continuous process improvement.\n\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nAssists various Operators in the routine aspects of packaging finished print material.\n\nWill learn to operate various auxiliary printing production machines to complete assigned duties.\n\nVisual inspection, packaging, and palletization of finished material in production with various types of machinery according to the operator specifications.\n\nCommunicates to machine operator any quality concerns.\n\nMakes cartons, labels, and shipping tags for finished product.\n\nMust be able to keep accurate production and daily activity reports.\n\nMaintain level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.\n\nMust be team oriented - a team player, willing to work for the good of the total team.\n\nMust have reliable transportation, be able to work; days, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays and willing to work overtime when needed.\n\nFlexibility & Adaptability – Ability to quickly learn & apply information; Must be versatile and be able to shift from one job to another.\n\nOral Communication - Ability to express information and ideas to individuals on a one-on-one basis; must be able to communicate in a professional manner to both employees and supervisors. Must be able to carry out detailed written and oral communications without bias.\n\nComply with work and safety rules\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS\n\nH.S. diploma or equivalent required.\n\nPrior bindery experience preferred.\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS\n\nAbility to work ina busy work center performing multiple tasks simultaneously.\n\nMust have adequate reasoning skills - must be able to apply common sense and understanding to job related duties.\n\nMust be willing to work nights, weekends and overtime\n\nMust be at work on time as scheduled\n\nMathematical Skills – ability to add subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rates, discounts, count inventory, and percentages. Calculate volumes, weights and measures.\n\nWork Planning, Organization & Execution – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
