This role pairs hands-on leadership of a small technical team with the analytical depth to influence pricing strategy and translate data into commercial action. We are also open to candidates who can maintain a consistent presence between our Lisle and downtown Chicago office locations.\nOur Team\nThe Pricing Economics team sits at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and technology, helping shape how Molex makes pricing decisions across a global portfolio. Working closely with business and commercial leaders, we leverage data, economic thinking, and modern pricing tools to identify opportunities, drive profitable growth, and enable better decision-making.\nWhat You Will Do\nAnalytics & Economic Thinking\n\nAnalyze pricing, margin, and profitability data to identify drivers of performance, leakage, and opportunity across product lines and customer segments.\nDevelop and apply quantitative methods (elasticity, win/loss, price erosion, value drivers) to support pricing recommendations and decisions.\nMaintain the integrity and accessibility of pricing data across Snowflake, SAP, PROS, and analytical environments (R, Python, Power BI).\nTranslate complex analyses into clear, decision-ready findings for commercial and executive audiences.\n\nStrategic Partnership\n\nCollaborate with business unit leaders, Sales, and Finance to align pricing execution with commercial strategy and customer outcomes.\nCommunicate pricing trends, risks, and opportunities to senior leaders, with clear recommendations and supporting analysis.\nOptimize pricing workflows and automate low-value activities to free the broader commercial organization for higher-impact work.\n\nTeam & Systems Leadership\nLead the pricing systems team, including PROS administration, configuration, and integration with downstream commercial tools.\nManage the team's priorities, capacity, and technical roadmap to ensure pricing platforms are reliable, governed, and aligned to business needs.\nDevelop team members through coaching, performance feedback, and clear ownership of outcomes.\nPartner with cross-functional partners to deliver system enhancements and improve data quality across the pricing landscape.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n\nBachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.\n5+ years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial analytics, finance, or a closely related field.\nExperience with B2B industrial or manufacturing environments.\nStrong proficiency in SQL.\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n\nExperience with PROS, Vendavo, or equivalent pricing software.\nDemonstrated grasp of pricing concepts and economic thinking with the ability to apply them to commercial decisions.\nExperience working with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.\nExperience using Python or R to perform data analysis and generate business insights.\nAn analytical thinker who is comfortable moving between systems, data, and strategy.\nA focus on building scalable data foundations rather than one-off analyses.\nCredible presence with stakeholders at all levels, from analysts to executives.\nA clean and direct communication style that lets the data speak.\nFor this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $170,000 per year.
