JOB LOCATION : Main Campus
DEPARTMENT: PULMONARY SERVICES
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 12 HR Day Shift,
POSITION SUMMARY
Has accountability for the overall operation of the shift.
Makes job assignments and ensures the delivery of quality patient care.
Provides direct patient care.
Makes adjustments to staffing levels per guidelines to meet approved productivity targets.
Assists with delegated responsibilities such as audits, surveys, quality assurance, data collection and customer service recovery efforts.
Maintains an atmosphere that ensures South Georgia Medical Center’s mission, vision, values, code of conduct, goals, policies, and standards of care.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
Require RRT credential.
Licensure by the Georgia State Board of Medical Examiners.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
PALS certification.
NRP certification
Prior clinical experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Works in acute care hospital. Considerable walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.), pushing objects (e.g. carts, beds, ventilators, etc.). Likely to be exposed to blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases. Mental effort to assess, plan, and make or recommend decisions in a complex environment. Physical functioning capacity for healthcare workers as defined by the Saunders Method (very heavy).
