This role serves as the primary owner of ESH policies, procedures, standards, work instructions, and related management system documentation, ensuring content is technically accurate, compliant, user-friendly, and aligned with business objectives.\r\nThis individual partners closely with ESH subject matter experts, Communications, Operations, Legal, People Team, and other stakeholders to oversee new and revised documentation, manage review and approval workflows, and ensure periodic reviews are completed in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.\r\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\r\nDocumentation Management\r\nOwn the development, maintenance, and governance of all ESH documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, work instructions, manuals, guidance documents, and supporting materials.\r\nTranslate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.\r\nEstablish and maintain documentation standards, templates, version control, and document management processes.\r\nEnsure all documentation reflects current regulatory requirements, company standards, and operational practices.\r\nTechnical Writing\r\nLead technical writing efforts for new and revised EHS policies and procedures.\r\nInterview subject matter experts to capture technical requirements and operational processes.\r\nEdit and proofread documentation for technical accuracy, readability, consistency, and compliance.\r\nDevelop supporting materials such as job aids, FAQs, quick reference guides, and training documentation.\r\nCommunications & Change Management\r\nPartner with Corporate Communications to develop communication and rollout strategies for new or updated ESH programs and documentation.\r\nCoordinate communication plans that effectively reach impacted employees across multiple functions and locations.\r\nDrive accessibility to these documents through IT tools like Confluence, Box and similar.\r\nStakeholder Management\r\nCoordinate cross-functional review and approval cycles for all EHS documentation.\r\nFacilitate collaboration among EHS leaders, Legal, Operations, People Team, Quality, Engineering, and other stakeholders.\r\nTrack comments, revisions, approvals, and implementation timelines.\r\nResolve conflicting feedback while maintaining document integrity and compliance.\r\nDocument Governance & Compliance\r\nManage the complete document lifecycle from creation through retirement.\r\nDevelop and maintain document review schedules and ensure periodic reviews are completed on time.\r\nMonitor document effectiveness and recommend updates based on regulatory changes, audits, incidents, and operational improvements.\r\nSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and demonstrating document control compliance.\r\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\r\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Technical Communications, English, Engineering, Communications, or a related field.\r\n5+ years of experience in technical writing, document management, ESH, quality systems, regulated industries, or a related discipline.\r\nExperience supporting Environmental, Health & Safety management systems.\r\nKnowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar regulatory and management system frameworks.\r\nDemonstrated experience writing technical policies, procedures, and management system documentation.\r\nExperience coordinating cross-functional document review and approval processes.\r\nExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.\r\nStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\r\nExperience working within document management systems and version control processes.\r\nAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite\r\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\r\nExperience with change management and organizational communications.\r\nFamiliarity with SharePoint, Confluence, document control software, or enterprise content management systems.\r\nExperience supporting DoD manufacturing or energetics regulated environments, AS 9100, ISO 9001, and Process Safety Management (PSM).\r\nNatural tendency towards challenging the status quo to find new and novel ways to improve EHS management systems\r\nA person who leans into challenges instead of saying 'no' and walking away.\r\nUS Salary Range\r\n$112,000 — $149,000 USD\r\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
