Applicants will need to be able to inspect, service, and maintain a wide range of medium and heavy-duty construction equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, repairing, and providing routine maintenance for customers equipment.Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:Inspecting trucks, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.Diagnosing faults using manual and computerized testing equipment.Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.Repairing damaged equipment parts.Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty equipment and vehicles.Cleaning and servicing of work equipment like winches, blades, and booms.Performing major repair work when necessary.Consulting with other mechanics on difficult jobs.Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management and customers.Heavy Equipment Mechanic Requirements:High school diploma or GED.Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic a plus.Work experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.Understanding of computer testing technologies.Ability to lift heavy parts.Knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.Ability to work after-hours if required.Good communication skills.Good organizational skills.**Duties:**- Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on industrial equipment.- Fabricate and install new components as needed.- Utilize knowledge of HVAC/R systems and hydraulics to diagnose issues accurately.- Use voltmeters and other tools to test electrical systems.- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of service requests.**Requirements:**Basic knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance.Basic understanding of HVAC/R systems and hydraulics.Proficiency in using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.Excellent communication skills in English.Rogers Equipment benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation, company paid life insurance policy, company paid short term disability, 3% employer match on company sponsored IRA, and health insurance is available.
