This position will ensure that Porter Pipe & Supply remains clean, functional, and safe for all staff and visitors. The Facilities Associate, 1st Shift, provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nProvide general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision), including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair/replacement work as required.\nSpecific functions include, but are not limited to, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing, and dusting floors, carpet, walls, windows, and doors; trash and recycling removal; cleaning restrooms; stairwells, offices, and other areas as required.\nPerform routine facility and equipment maintenance.\nComplete all documentation for work performed in a timely manner.\nOversee and execute the duties associated with events, including executing the set-up plan in a timely manner, break-downs are completed on schedule with spaces returned to normal.\nAdhere to all company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\n\nAbility to use basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and custodial hand and electric-powered tools.\nFollow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity and respect for a diverse population.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.\nAble to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position.\n\nRequired Experience and Education:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n\nPhysical Demands:\n\nAbility to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.\nMust be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds.\nRequires visual, hearing and speech acuity.\nExposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.\nAbility to use hands to operate office equipment.\n\nDisclaimer:\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
