{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"8f6b8d4d57279c0d418aadc7","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8f6b8d4d57279c0d418aadc7","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/8f6b8d4d57279c0d418aadc7","title":"Material Handler - 2nd shift","description":"This is a 2nd shift position.\n\nSUMMARY\nLoads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nComprehends orders, product, locations and/or follows oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved\nAbility to operate scanners for receipt, transfer and return of raw materials and finished product\nResponsible for creating all necessary labels for inventory received into the facility\nEnsures received materials are correctly identified and labeled, if not attaches identification data onto materials\nLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves\nLoads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit\nConveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area\nCounts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production/put away sheet(s).\nAttaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers\nAssists with maintaining accurate inventory\nStacks or assembles materials into appropriate areas\nMaintains clean work area, assists with cleaning organizing, and assist picking associates.\nKnowledgeable of and supports Human Resource, Quality and Safety/Environmental policies & practices. Strives for continuous improvement in their area of expertise and job function that results in better cost, quality, or functionality of the products we deliver to our customers\nDemonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible\nAll other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager\n\nLEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nNo supervisory responsibilities\n\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\n\nOne (1) to Three (3) months of related experience\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS\n\nWork in a fast paced shipping and packaging environment\nExposure to heat, loud noise, dust, odors, dirt/dust and fumes\nFrequently stand, walk, push, pull, reach, and grasp\nFrequently lift and lower up to 50 pounds.
