In addition to our core facility and project management capabilities, our platform offers direct access to our Best-in-Class services, including ESG, Security Consulting, Workplace Strategy, and Workplace Experience.\n\nAbout the Role:\nAs a CBRE Building Engineer you will utilize advanced skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitor building system operations and performance. The role requires several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\n\nComply with all applicable regulations, codes, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.\n\nInspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions, prescribed by the client.\n\nOversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors. Contracted work may include landscaping, snow removal, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.\n\nPerform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required.\n\nReview assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete the job, and order the necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.\n\nMaintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.\n\nMaintain the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.\n\nPerform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed\n\nRespond quickly to emergency situations, arranging additional assistance as needed.\n\nThis is not a comprehensive list of job requirements, additional tasks may be included.\n\nWhat You’ll Need:\n\nApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nHigh School Diploma, general education degree (GED), or a trade school diploma, with 4 years of job related experience.\n\nUniversal CFC certification preferred.\n\nAdditional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
