This position partners closely with business and operation teams. This position will help guide and mentor less experienced and skilled team members and help review the work done by other data analyst.\nDay in the Life\nLead strategic Enterprise Data Warehouse projects.\nMentor less tenured data analysts.\nFollow and advise on industry standards and advances on data driven technologies and tools.\nAnalyze data to determine relationships between large datasets.\nCreate complex end-to-end data flow diagrams and logical data models.\nDevelop complex SQL scripts for various reporting and ad-hoc analysis.\nDocument business requirements, source to target data mapping, collaboration with technology teams, design, development, testing, and deployments.\nDocument System of Record data models and map to business process.\nData mapping specification designs, data feed specifications, data analysis and data comparison.\nDevelop and document data remediation requirements and plans.\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nResponsible for reporting risks that are identified to the appropriate team and/or management.\nResponsible for managing, monitoring and reporting risks within the scope of your work area, to include, but not limited to Information Security risks.\nAbility to coach and mentor less tenured data analysts.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nCollege degree in Analytics, Data Science, Data Management, CIS or equivalent training and/or experience.\n5+ years’ experience as a data analyst or equivalent position where working with data is a primary responsibility.\n5+ years’ experience with data technologies, process, data mapping tools with highly complex and integrated business models.\nIntermediate - Advanced SQL skills\nPrior experience on Enterprise Data Warehouse build projects\nWorking knowledge of Snowflake is a plus\nFamiliarity with Databricks.\nExperience with ADO.\nMust be detailed focus with the ability to detect patterns and possible solutions from large volumes of data.\nPractical knowledge of debit/credit card processing, financial systems, mobile solutions, high-availability systems, and data safe-keeping practices.\n#LI-LM1\n\nAbout Velera\nAt Velera we are committed to fostering a workplace where every employee feels valued, respected, and connected.
