Since only the best can make the best, Ellison Bakery prides itself on its most important asset, the employees.\n\nThat’s not all folks, we have benefits, too:\nMedical.\nDental.\nOptical.\nLife Insurance.\n401(K) with Matching.\nVacation Days.\nPaid Personal Days Off.\nPaid Holidays.\nPaid Uniform.\n\nPurpose:\nThe Material Handler is responsible for scanning and loading staged finished product at the Raw Goods Warehouse location on the delivery truck and deliver to the Warehouse II location, where they will unload and move to the appropriate area in the warehouse.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\nAttend and be on time for all pre-shift production meetings.\nParticipation and adherence to all food safety and safety programs.\nWork safely, quickly and efficiently to handle freight and move inventory throughout the warehouse.\nMaintains inventory utilizing scanning equipment identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording in the ERP system.\nLocates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.\nMaintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies, insuring first in first out rotation utilizing the information in the ERP system.\nDocuments in the ERP system materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.\nReceives return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supplies code and lot number and quantity; placing materials in stock and recording the transactions in the system.\nPrepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product and records all transactions.\nMaintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.\nSet up production lines according to production schedule.\nCreate and print all required labels for materials received.\nMaintain supply of materials to the operators as necessary.\nTransfer of finished product to Warehouse Staging, WIP as required.\nProper storage and handling of all non-conforming and Work-In-Process materials.\nLoading and unloading of all trucks coming in to shipping/receiving and accurate completion of all receiving or shipping documents including transactions in the ERP system.\nMaterial handling for stocking, retrieving, selecting and/or staging of inventory for Production or order fulfilment, potentially needing to lift up to 50 pounds.\nReceiving and stocking of incoming material including counting, labeling, putting away in proper storage areas and recording all of the above.\nPackaging and Shipping of completed orders.\nChecks and counts all material unloaded for quantity discrepancies and notifies the Purchasing Department when discrepancies occur.\nStock incoming material in the appropriate inventory location.\nProvide delivery support as required.\nReceiving supplies from vendors while verifying that they are correct inspecting the product.\nIdentifying any missing, lost or damaged materials/product and immediately notify the supervisor.\nEnsuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.\nKeeping an inventory through proper scanning of all product entering or exiting the warehouse.\nSetting and shipping orders following stock rotation procedures.\nAccurately and legibly maintain all shipping and receiving documents.\nReport to work on time and complete job tasks as assigned accurately and on time.\nMaintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.\nEffectively communicate all relevant information to your peer and supervisor.\nImmediately report any and all food safety and quality problems to management.\nAssisting with training of newly employed workers.\nMaintain cleanliness, neatness and safety of building and work area.\nCycle-count and take weekly inventory within the warehouse.\nPicking and staging orders while following FIFO and all customer requirements.\nUnderstand that the day will include: driving the delivery truck, picking/staging orders, shipping orders, working alone and working with a team, and strong accountability from management.\n\nFollow all:\nCompany Policies.\nGood Manufacturing Practices.\nFood Safety Management System Policies and Procedures.\nSanitation Procedures.\nSafety Procedures.\nAssist other areas of production as needed.\n\nOther:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.\nDuties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.\n\nEquipment Used:\nUtility knife.\nShrink wrapper.\nForklift.\nBox truck.\nPallet jack.\n\nEllison Core Competencies: The following Leadership Behaviors are important to the success of the organization:\nCollaboration.\nCustomer Focus.\nDrive for Results.\nMotivating Others.\nIntegrity & Trust.\nPeer Relationships.\nDevelops Others.\n\nSkills/Work Experience Needed:\nPossess a high school diploma or equivalent.\nCDL with valid driver’s license preferred.\nInsurable through company’s carrier.\n2+ Years RFG Gun experience required.\n2+ Years Forklift experience required.\nCapable of reading and understanding all shipping and receiving documents.\nComputer knowledge to enter shipping/receiving documents.\nCommunicate effectively with co-workers.\nWork independently;
