Your goals are to make the company more efficient and provide better customer service through connecting the business and technology teams.\r\nThe Data Engineer maintains smooth communications between business-critical systems and ensuring easy transitions when changes or maintenance are required. Daily activities will include partnering with the business to determine data solutions, effective methods of data visualization, and executing the plan to create results.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nMust be able to prioritize multiple projects, while meeting deadlines and quality expectations\r\nMust be able to adapt quickly in a changing environment\r\nHas strong interpersonal communication skills working with both internal and external customers\r\nAbility to relate or explain technical information to non-industry personnel\r\nAdept at working with cross-functional IT teams to meet customer objectives\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related technology field\r\n3+ years experience with SQL & ETL development\r\n3+ years experience in data warehouse environments.\r\n3+ years experiencereporting tools including SSRS and Crystal Reports\r\n3+ years experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau Respond quickly to identify and resolve issues Proven critical and analytical thinking skills\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nHigh level of professionalism\r\nMotivated and results driven attitude\r\nSome after-hours support depending on business requirements\r\nExperience with the following will be viewed as a plusTransportation Management Systems Warehouse Management Systems Both SQL Server and Oracle Data Democratization\r\nLanguage Skills Sets\r\nMust be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.\r\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.\r\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.\r\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nMust be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\r\nMust be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons.\r\nMust be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.\r\nRegularly work in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.\r\nMust be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.\r\nMust be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time.\r\nMust have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision.\r\nMust hear speech out of both ears in the normal range of 30db at 500 to 2000 Hz range.\r\nMust be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.\r\nMust be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.\r\nThe preceding statements are illustrative of the functions of the job and RJW retains the right to modify or change the duties or essential functions of the job at any time.\r\nAs with all positions, the duties and responsibilities are subject to change at any time as needs arise and at the discretion of the RJW Transport, Inc.
