To be considered you must have 3-5 years experience as a Laser Operator. Working Hours are Monday - Thursday 3p-130a.\nRequirements:\nLaser Operations\n1. Program laser jobs in software and on machine.\n2. Download files from programming computer to the laser machine to start specific jobs\n3. Check machine to ensure it is fully functional prior to starting a laser cutting job\n4. Inspect the vacuum lift to ensure proper functionality\n5. Adjust offsets on the laser machine to ensure accurate cutting\n6. Adjust (minimally) laser alignment and focusing\n7. Constantly monitor machine throughout the job to ensure it is completing the job to specifications.\n8. Perform first piece and in process inspection by checking dimensions of part per blueprint using calipers and\ntape measure to ensure both quality and plan specifications are met\n9. Unload processed panels/parts and part skeleton off worktable after processing\n10. Perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on machine, observing safety standards, and by notifying\nsupervisor when major repairs are needed\n11. Perform monthly maintenance and log maintenance record.\n12. Responsible for quantity and quality of work produced in Laser/Fabrication work area\n13. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product\n14. Work with press brake operator to help manage cut steel.\n15. Work with press brake operator to help part skeletons and organize.\n16. Help maintain stock steel and organize material both inside and outside of shop.\n17. Load raw materials on to laser machine-Automation tower (PRICE location)\nPress Brake\n1. Work with press brake to help manage cut steel\n2. Set up and operate a hydraulic press or punch for routine established work when required\n3. Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents\n4. Load, install and correctly set up the tools required\n5. Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications and quality\nTools and Equipment\n1 Laser\n2. Set up and operate shear and break press, punch press\n3. MIG Welder\n4. Use overhead crane, forklift, hoists, to assist in fabrication assembly and moving materials/projects\n5. Operate, grinders, cutting torch, drills, misc. hand tools\nPosition Summary: This position is responsible for setting up, programming and operating the laser machine to produce\nlaser cut panels and parts.\n6. Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly\nstored at the end of each shift\nOther Essential Duties\n1. Must be able to read and know appropriate welding symbols and apply them\nto fabrication process. Must be able to read, and understand production reports related to quality, and quantity. Must be\nable to write NCR’s and comply with safety rules. Must be able to establish productive and effective communication ties and\nrelationships with co-workers, supervisors, customers, and staff.\n\nMath Ability:\nAbility to calculate and measure dimensions, metal thickness and bend diagrams, heights, tolerances, square, and laser cut\naccuracy. Must be able to accurately follow plan specifications and use laser to cut panels/parts to match such. Ability to\nunderstand and know company operation costs and production costs and production overrun costs. Ability to apply\nconcepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to analyze and understand project plan documents and specifications and successfully resolve practical problems that\nmay occur.
