Kitchen Team Lead (Evenings)

Roman Ramen is hiring a Kitchen Team Lead to run high-performing evening shifts, lead the line, and uphold the standards that define our guest experience. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced kitchens, leads by example, and knows how to bring out the best in a team. What You’ll Do Lead evening kitchen shifts and ensure smooth operations Direct the line during service to deliver accurate, high-quality food Model the Serve–Prep–Clean mindset and reinforce it with the team Coach team members in real time to improve speed, organization, and execution Perform final plate checks for quality and presentation Maintain food safety standards including proper labeling, storage, and handling Execute strong closing procedures (cleaning, stocking, and reset for success) Partner with the Kitchen Manager on prep levels, inventory awareness, and equipment needs Help implement new menu items and operational improvements Leadership Traits We Look For Leads with urgency, positivity, and accountability Calm and decisive under pressure Highly dependable and punctual Strong communicator who supports the team Detail-oriented with high standards Takes initiative instead of waiting to be asked Qualifications 1–3 years of restaurant or kitchen experience required Previous shift lead or kitchen leadership experience preferred Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast casual environment Available afternoons, evenings, and weekends Food Protection Certification preferred (not required) Physical Requirements Stand and move for 4–8 hours per shift Lift up to 75 lbs as needed Work safely and efficiently in a busy kitchen environment Work Location: In person
