Cybersecurity Specialist 3 (Chantilly, VA)
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist 3 to support a growing portfolio of federal security engineering programs focused on protecting critical infrastructure, operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), and enterprise security environments. This individual will work alongside cybersecurity engineers, RMF analysts, government stakeholders, and technical teams to strengthen cybersecurity posture, implement compliance requirements, and support authorization activities across complex federal systems. This position is onsite in Chantilly, VA and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Specialist 3:Implement and validate DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environmentsSupport Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization activities, including documentation development and compliance validationConduct vulnerability assessments, system inventories, and cybersecurity reviews across ICS/SCADA environmentsUtilize ACAS, HBSS, and other security tools to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilitiesDevelop and manage POA&Ms, security findings, and mitigation strategiesSupport continuous monitoring efforts and cybersecurity compliance initiativesAssist with Security Readiness Reviews (SRRs), CCRI preparation, and cybersecurity inspectionsCollaborate with government customers, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to implement cybersecurity requirementsSupport quality assurance efforts, ISO standardization activities, and cybersecurity process improvementsMaintain documentation and reporting within eMASS and other compliance management platformsQualifications of the Cybersecurity Specialist 3:5+ years of cybersecurity experience supporting federal, defense, ICS/SCADA, OT, or critical infrastructure environmentsStrong experience implementing STIGs and NIST 800-53 security controlsHands-on experience with ACAS, HBSS, vulnerability management, and eMASSExperience supporting DoD RMF authorization and continuous monitoring activitiesKnowledge of ICS/SCADA cybersecurity principles and NIST 800-82 guidanceFamiliarity with DoDIN CCRI/CCORI requirements and Cyber Command Task OrdersExperience developing security documentation, policies, procedures, and compliance artifactsStrong written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience supporting customer-facing engagementsAbility to work effectively across multidisciplinary technical teamsRequired Certification (One of the Following):CISSPCISSP-ISSEPCISSP-ISSAPCASP+CSSLPCISACISMGCEDGCIHPreferred Qualifications:Experience supporting electronic security systems, facility-related control systems, or building management systemsFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Visio, Cameo, or similar engineering toolsExperience supporting federal construction, security engineering, or infrastructure modernization programsKnowledge of UFC 4-010-06 Cybersecurity of Facility-Related Control SystemsCompensation for the Cybersecurity Specialist 3:Salary: $130,000 - $155,000 (depending on experience)Comprehensive Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Paid HolidaysThis job opens for applications on 6/3/2026.
