We encourage engineers to bring full-stack skills and interests to the table, so if you also enjoy writing React and/or Flutter frontend code, that is a big plus.Responsibilities:\r\nCollaborate with the design and development team to translate product requirements into working code\r\nWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to industry best practices and coding standards\r\nCollaborate with the frontend development team to integrate front end components with backend APIs\r\nConduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.\r\nStay updated with the latest trends and advancements in software development to propose and implement innovative solutions\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and QC engineers\r\nTake initiative to improve our systems by thinking about software architecture, security, documentation, or whatever else we’re working on -- Delfina is a startup, and we’re looking for engineers who are excited for new challengesQualifications:\r\nStrong proficiency in software development and design\r\nStrong proficiency in Python and FastAPI or similar programming language and frameworks\r\nExperience with databases (Postgres or equivalent)\r\nSolid understanding of relational databases and container-based software deployment\r\nFamiliarity with version control systems (git and GitHub)\r\nProficiency writing automated test suites and testable code\r\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\r\nExcellent communication and teamwork abilities\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Preferred Qualifications:\r\nProfessional experience as a software engineer in a similar role\r\nExperience in frontend development (React, Flutter)\r\nExperience with Google Cloud or another major cloud provider\r\nFamiliarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems\r\nPrior experience in the healthtech industry or working on healthcare-related projects.\r\nPassion for addressing challenges in maternal health and contributing to solving the maternal health crisisWe value that everyone at Delfina brings a unique background and perspective.
