Product Manager, Above Grade Waterproofing
What's the job?
To lead the strategic growth and innovation of the Above Grade Waterproofing (Liquid waterproofing and Air Barrier) products within the Building Envelope portfolio by aligning market insights with business growth strategy through cross-functional collaboration, and product development initiatives --ultimately driving profitability and strengthening CertainTeed & GCP's leadership in the building envelope industry. The role demands strong technical expertise, market insights and leadership to drive innovation and deliver sustainable growth.
Function as the Subject Matter Expert on Product & Target Markets
Be an internal & external product subject matter expert; develop technical training and sales tools. Partner with R&D and technical teams to ensure product compliance, testing, and performance standards (e.g., NFPA 285, ASTM). Be
Lead Product Portfolio Strategy & Execution including Growth Enablers
Define and execute product portfolio strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on technical performance and market differentiation. Own the full product lifecycle --from ideation and development to commercialization and end-of-life decisions.
Executive Reporting & Prioritization: Drive strategic recommendations for prioritization decisions based on evolving market conditions to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Profitability analysis and improvement initiatives
Innovation & New Product Development:
Drive new product development initiatives and be a partner the project manager during the Stage-Gate processes for technical validation and commercial launch. Spearhead cross-functional initiatives that enrich our portfolio and expand market reach - ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and customer needs.Explore Saint-Gobain synergies in the liquid categories, including technology transfers of resin flooring and sealants from recent acquisitions.
Market Intelligence: Conduct competitive analysis, trend monitoring, and customer feedback to inform product positioning and pricing.
Enable Customer-Facing Positioning & Marketing Communications
Establish value proposition with customer-obsessed positioning and messaging architecture
Support go-to-market and channel tactics
Lead demand generation ideas and sales enablement requirements
Partner with Marketing to develop
Segment landing pages and collateral
Case studies, application notes, white papers, webinars/lectures, and thought leadership
Trade show strategy, speaking opportunities, PR angles
Sales enablement kits
Enable Customer-Facing Positioning & Marketing Communications
Establish value proposition with customer-obsessed positioning and messaging architecture
Support go-to-market and channel tactics
Lead demand generation ideas and sales enablement requirements
Partner with Marketing to develop

Operational Coordination:
Work with Supply Chain on efficient inventory management, SKU stocking levels and national forecasts.
SLOB management - Slow moving and obsolescence management throughout the product life cycle.
What do you bring?
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field Required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
3 - 4 Years of Product Management
Ability to combine technical depth with strategic vision
Experience successfully managing deadline-driven initiatives
Strong problem-solving skills- - Naturally curious to uncover the mystery
Strong leadership, project management skills, time management and prioritization abilities
Digital Fluency & communication skills: English (writing + speaking), day-to-day business tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Copilot productivity tools --able to create compelling presentations, manage data efficiently, and collaborate seamlessly across teams.
Comfortable in a highly technical environment liquid waterproofing and/or air barrier experience is required

Experience in building envelope. Familiarity with building codes, energy standards, and sustainability requirements is preferred
Experience navigating in a large matrix organization
